The situation of the hotel and the public rooms and the bed rooms. The helpful staff.
The restaurant where we had our evening meal which was very expensive with poor quality food that did not even look nice. The meal took 2 hours. The staff were very good but had far too many tables to look after. We did not have breakfast as we thought it may be the same.

Customer service. The staff was very proactive from check in to check out. Although our reservation was for a room with a double bed, the receptionist asked if we would prefer a kingsize bed. We welcomed the change. That night from the bar to the excellent meal at dinner, we could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. The next morning after a very hearty breakfast, one of the best on our 11 day vacation we checked out and walked next door to catch the cable car to the top of the mountain. Our location was perfect in that the first cable car opened at 1000. We went up at 1030 and were well ahead of the tourist buses. In hindsight I would have preferred to spend a few more days. We were able to take advantage of the 55 and over discount. If you are planning to visit the Picos or if we get the chance to return, this is the place to stay. For a better perspective check it out on google maps and the satellite view.

The huge lounge areas offered excellent spaces for relaxation after a long day of hiking.
Unfortunately, the restaurant's late opening times were not very accommodating for English guests.

Beautiful landscape, delicious breakfast, the awesome air conditioning kept us comfortable despite the chilly November weather.
Couldn't ask for more.

Fine views and lekker brekkie 🏞️
Wow, the views here are just out of this world! The brekkie was a proper dik one-full of local goodies. Plus, the staff were super friendly. Can't forget the chill vibe by the cozy fireplace after a long day exploring!
Had a bit of a hiccup with the aircon-it was just blowing air, no lekker chill or heat.

Location. The view from the room. The receptionist said that using internet in the room was difficult, but it worked enough.
"A brief art of cookig" menu was good, but other menu was normal. The staff of restaurant were too busy to serve us timely.

The location was ideal for visiting, via the cable car, the mountains in Picos de Europa.
The cost of meals was exhorbitant.

Enchanting and absolutely charming hotel, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was huge with large comfortable bed and the staff was fairly friendly! The location was stunning and awesome - very close to a beautiful valley, Spain, where tapas are so often available in early evening, and beautiful mountains. Also, Casa Del Oso en Liebana was located in the immediate surroundings. This was a really great stay, reasonable prices.
